Just for my investigation background, I've had more than a decade as a criminal investigator (local detective, state task force detective, federal task force officer, forensic detective) and more than another decade in the private sector (all digital forensics, civil and criminal cases).  Over 2,000 hours of formal (in a chair...) training plus more hours than that of doing actual casework. Court-qualified expert witness, Special Master, consultant on forensic-related class action litigation, criminal procedure, and other things.

I've taught and developed graduate-level digital forensic programs. Taught thousands of law enforcement officers/agents/attorneys/students from dozens of agencies, firms, and schools. Award-winning published author, keynote speaker, and some other things too.

I've spent years working undercover in both the physical world and the Internet world on criminal and civil cases. My conversations over food and drink with criminals have enlightened me more than any training class.
